Seven games to make a real statement of intent by Arsenal: Bring it on!

Time to push on and silence the remaining critics!

Time to push on and silence the remaining critics!

Norwich (H), Dortmund (H), Palace (A), Chavs (H), Pool (H), Dortmund (A), Mancs (A)…. and then we need another inter-lull hahaha…. which we will duly get. 🙂

Arsenal had a fantastic start to the season; and we are not talking any more about THAT home game against the Vile Villains! 😈

And please don’t come on here and tell us we actually got less points from our PL fixtures until now compared to last season. To you I say: OSAAT! One Season at a Time. In the here and now we are ToTL and f*ck the rest.

But for all those doubters out there, and for all those who are waiting like athlete foot to get under our skin again – eagerly anticipating the next lost game as to be able to return to their comfort zone once more – there is hope. 😆

The next seven games will tell us a lot, and although nothing is lost or won at this stage of the season, Arsenal have a fantastic opportunity now to make a real statement of intent, and to knock a few direct competitors temporarily unconscious in the process.

It will by no means be easy, but if we take the OGAAT approach, get a bit lucky with injuries and rotate cleverly, we could be safe and dry in the CL and still be ToTL, or there about, come 10 November.

The sequence of: two home games, one away game, two home games, two away games should suit us very well; although, the last two away games will be very tough indeed: Dortmund and MU away. Why are we always playing the Mancs away in the autumn?

Arsenal are by no means a team that can take it easy against any team and still collect three points. Therefore, the first and last games, against lowly Norwich and mid-table Mancs, are just equally important, and equally hard. Every game needs full focus and passion by all in the team, and what is so nice about the current team is that we can count on this now. We currently have a great core of players who love to make their hands dirty and fight for every ball; and, combined with a good average age and a lot of talent within the team, this is exactly why we have a good chance for silverware this season.

Beating Norwich after an inter-lull proved difficult last season, and once again their manager will have had two weeks with most of the squad to prepare for this one. Arsene, on the other hand, will be praying for his players to return without injuries and not be too tired from the qualifiers and associated travelling.

This is our next PL OGAAT and we should forget about the rest. But playing Palace away, followed by Liverpool at home and Mancs away is just such a mouth-watering prospect; such an opportunity to make a real statement of intent.

These four PL games should tell us a lot more of how we will do this season.

The League Cup game is a nice one to have and I hope both teams will play a ‘second string’ team, so they are evenly matched. Maureen does not like losing, and despite all his bluff of playing his reserve players, I reckon he will put a team on the pitch with the sole aim to beat Arsene and his team. Should be really good game and a win would be sweet.

The double with BD in the CL will probably be the main feast of football during this period of seven scintillating games. It would suit both teams to win at least a game, rather than two draws, and I expect both teams to go for it all guns blazing from the start. We often think the best football is played towards the end of the season, but the two games against Die Gelb-Schwarzen might already turn into the icing on the cake of this season. Whatever you do, don’t miss them!

For once the inter-lull was not too bad as we all felt the team needed a break, and hopefully the cliché of ‘a change is as good as a rest’ will apply for our internationals. But, it is also good to know that the likes of Flamini, Arteta, Szczesny, and probably Gibbs, will have had time to fully rest and motor the team on again come Saturday. And if Pod and Cazorla are also ready to support the troops again, we should have a fantastic first team and bench to make real progress in the next seven games.

Time to rock on and show them all who will be king this season. Bring it on!

What do you reckon fellow Gooners: sink or swim between now and the next inter-lull?

Fiiiirst truncheon ticklers!!! Cockie left you comment on last post 😀 Going to read now Totes thank you 😀

  2. geoffchase says:

    TA,

Interesting. If injuries come back and dont come in, then we have a good middle of the park to rotate well (Santi, Ox, Poldi returning in turns) and these will offer us a strong “second string” to offer against Maureen et al, as they come back into form (ie it wont be all U21s!)

As for rest, I would settle for win at home against BD and draw away, and we must win in PL, which for me is where the big bits are to be focused.

But, yes, first up is Norrich…

    cheers — jgc

  3. 17highburyterrace says:

Not exactly Oh-Gaat, but there you go… 😉

Rotation will be important but we *should* have the bodies–Speaking of which, check the new avatar… 😆 Working new bodies in, however, can cause hiccups…Here’s to smooth and overwhelming results…Personally, I’m very excited about possibilities (starting) at Left attack–Poldolski and/or Santi getting to dance with Messy, et al…

I think the big thing will be our reaction to adversity. The support is just a single poor result away from being back at square one. Is the team? If I was AW (or a leader in the dressing room) I would suggest (unfortunately…) that the players should continue wary of gooners. They will love the team when things are good but will turn (on a dime, as we say, over here…) if things go funky. And nervous, nervous, nervous when things are nil-nil. God forbid if you miss a chance… Totl, you make reference to it yourself in your post and we saw the disappointment of only drawing at WBA…

Another funny thing is that I think Ramsey (and Wilshere) may suffer for game time. The former is nursing something or other and getting flogged playing with Wales. The latter is riding quite the roller coaster–not easy w/o your cigs, if you’re addicted to them… We’ll see, but if all three or all of Santi, Lu-lu, Theo and the Ox are available, somebody will have to sit to let them into the line-up…

    All told, I can’t wait, but I must…(approx. 6 days–144 hours–until Norwich match…) 😈

  4. mA says:

well done “ToTL” , and thank you

hopefully we will do fantastically in the games you outline above. Do not know why but if feel that we shall do well in the away games, but not the home games. How I wish there were more away games than home games. Nevertheless, i believe the Arsenal of today has grown a pair and we should pull through unscathed i.e without a loss.

i really see us hammering the mancs, but the most interesting games will be against Dortmund and more so the Chavs. Silence the self-anointed-one and I’ll be a happy person. Of course, OGAAT applies since we have Norwich and Palace.

  5. jnyc says:

Yessss TA, just what ive been thinking. I say, first, come back together as a team in the league with spirit, knowing that we have reinforcements arriving from injury. That should give us confidence to put the draw behind us. ( though that was not a horrible result at all – just a bit disappointing. )

going into these matches, i am confident and just want us to play well and hold our own vs dortmund, who i consider a great team. the league matches – OGAAT. I want solid results through this period, staying right near the top if not very top.

—A chance to put a boot on the throat of united, and to show Suarez he should have put in a transfer request, and that he wasnt wrong to prefer us. — BUT – this will not be easy, i am worried that the liverpool players and coach will be super motivated to make a statement to us, and they are dangerous up front especially. We should be a good test for their midfield and defense.

  6. jnyc says:

And i forgot, chelsea is another opportunity for us to make a statement that its not just a fast start for us. And as i believe, we are really better than them. I know mourihno is aware of our quality, but i want to show the fans and media too.

  7. Hahaha Fozzer

In your case I`m beginning to think the SSSSHOOOOM comments are guided by not so much The Force but more like MAGIC MUSSSSHROOOOMS !. hahaha

Sorry Total eclipse of the arse !. 😀 I do go with the ” we`re down 5 points down on last seasons corresponding fixtures brigade ” !. I for one secretly expected 28 points from our first 10 league games if we were to be taken seriously !. You can bet your bottom dollar that all the people writing off Manscum for the Title will be eating their words, they have had a very difficult start, by the time the games you have pointed out come to an end don’t be surprised to see them neck and neck with us !.
I`m with Professor, our league games are the important ones . It will all be thick and fast starting with Norwich and if we had a real magic sponge I`d be more optimistic, but history tells me injuries ( why did we sell Gervitational pull head ? ) will fcuk us up until we spend even more money on SQ !. Bring on the Torture Window !. hahaha

However, pulverise all the highlighted teams and I will eat my Cookie Cockie !.

  8. Fozzie B says:

Nice one Totes and your right there is a real good blend of games ahead. My gut feel is our returning injurees are going to find it harder than expected much like Zorro has, but cest la vie. 😀
We traditionally struggle in this period but not this time!!
I think we will get even stronger in the new year but this is our critical period!! Humphrey OGAAT it is and lets hope the returnees “arsesimilate” better than Zorro 😀

  9. TotalArsenal says:

    Hi Geoff 🙂

lol who would not settle for a win at home and draw at BD?! That would be job done more or less! 🙂

  10. Fozzie B says:

Ps Cockie …. Between the shrooms, snuffaluffagus bong, your special bake cookies and beakers chemicals the whole muppet community is always on the next level!! 😆

  11. James Bond says:

    nice one, TA

indeed , the 7 games are gonna be a major test of character and our ability , no doubt

however, 5 of those 7 games are in LONDON – which only means one thing, Goals Galore by our Giroud , yep, he scores plenty of them in London 😉

taking the positive approach as usual, the 5 games in London give us an edge and makes our job so much more easier, it’s the last 2 games at Dortmund and Mancs that we might have to really show our metal…

i fully expect us to win against Chelsea, LiverFOOL and Dortmund at home, it’s the smaller teams that scare me, like Norwich and Crystal Palace, however, if we have Santi and Poldi back, then we should be fine

the key is to get all our players back on wednesday, without any injuries and i’m also hoping that the likes of Van Pu$$y, Sturridge, Rooney and so on come back with injuries 👿

  12. TotalArsenal says:

    17 – luvverly gravatar 🙂

Agreed on being a single loss away from fans going negative again…. 😕

  13. TotalArsenal says:

mA – see what you mean about home games…. hopefully the Napoli win has given the team and the players renewed believe in the ‘home form’, as well as the need for the supporters to sing their hearts out. I am going to the Norwich game next weekend, so can sample the atmosphere then! 🙂

  14. TotalArsenal says:

    Johnnie 🙂

I always like your comments! When are you going to write a post for us??? 🙂

The Liverpool game is one to look forward too indeed, and by no means easy. I reckon we will play Arteta and Flamini then with a clear remit to keep things compact in the middle….

  15. TotalArsenal says:

Total eclipse of the arse hahaha 🙂 Love it, FlaMini-cockster!

28 out of 30 points is just being greedy, but hey, nothing new there! 😀

  16. TotalArsenal says:

    Fozzer agreed 🙂

  17. James Bond says:

i have set ourselves a more realistic target of 25 points out of 30.

we are still on track for that, it’s very much achievable and if we hit “25”, we are well n truly on our way.

  18. TotalArsenal says:

Aah Bondie, negative karma and all that…. Lets just focus on our boys coming back in one piece. Agreed about the home game advantage, especially as it means little travel for a while. 🙂

  19. TotalArsenal says:

Let’s hope so JB. 25 points would be superb!

  20. Fozzie B says:

17h what does the young one think of that avatar? 😆

  21. jnyc says:

Thanks TA, i also am hoping that having a couple wingers back will allow Arsene to get some much needed rest for Rambo, Giroud, merts and Ozil.
    — in theory it should be possible — the only sticking point is that we need a healthy sagna to rest our bfg because Arsene does not trust the combo of Verm – kozzer. I would like to work in jenks a bit more in less challenging matchups to keep Bacary less overworked. That way vermaelen can spell koscielny, and sagna for merts on occasion. So, in a way, jenkinson is very important.
—— its a challenge to manage all this, but i hope Arsene rotates some when he has the players.

  22. Olaniyi ayobamy says:

    Lord sud help them through

  23. Gerry says:

Good evening, I have just watched the full match against Napoli, and the thought of any team causing us problems on that form is hard to imagine 😀

However, OGAAT goes out of the window when you start to think about rotation?

Take Flamini for instance, just one card away from suspension: Rest for Norwich; Play Dortmund; Rest Palace; Rest Chavs; Play Dortmund; Play ‘Pool; Play Mancs(if available?)

Ramsey, depending on Tuesday?: Rest Norwich; Play Dortmund; Play Palace; Rest Chavs; Play the remainder.

Ozil, depending if he plays Tuesday: Bench Norwich, play 20 mins; rest Chavs; Play the rest.

Sagna; Ditto Ramsey if fit for Dortmund.

Kos, I hope he doesn’t play Tuesday, but; Rest Palace; Play the rest.

Mert, Ditto above; Rest Norwich Play the rest

    Arteta: Play/Bench all.

Jack: Bench Norwich; Bench Dortmund; Play Palace; Play Chavs; Bench the rest, unless injuries say otherwise?

Jenks; plays until Sagna returns; Then Bench

Santi; Start Norwich; Bench Dortmund; Bench Palace; Play Chavs::Bench/Start remainder.

Poldi: Norwich 20 mins with Ozil; Bench Dortmund; Play Palace;:Bench/Start remainder.

Theo; 60 mis Norwich; Ditto Ramsey after .

Ox: Back for 25 mins Palace; Play Chavs;:Bench/Start remainder.

Rosi; When fit, plays… bench or start

Akpom, Bellerin, Eisfeld, Gnabry, Hayden, Yennaris, and Viviano/Fab all in for Chavs, and grab whatever time they can get along the way.

What we have got is a team of team-players. Being subbed should be part of that mentality?
How well Santi (in particular) and Poldi gel with Ozil when they play may dictate who starts in the last 3 games, along with injuries

  24. James Bond says:

or play Norwich – get a yellow at the end, do a Ronaldo, be suspended for Crystal Palace

return back with a clean slate ?

    @ Flamini

  25. Gerry says:

Of course added to that list I should have had TV5 Playing Norwich and Palace; Szcz Playing all bar Chavs – subject to injury free period – and Ditto Gibbs..

  26. Gerry says:

JB – A possibility, true, but he might get a red?

  27. James Bond says:

red card for doing a Ronaldo (arguing none stop) towards the end of the game ? i doubt it.

  28. TotalArsenal says:

    Jnyc

The reintroduction of Santi, Pod, Ox and Theo, will help rotation significantly: Wenger will need to keep everybody happy and match fit.

Gerry, those rotations make sense. Even cooky will start believing now, no? 😉

  29. James Bond says:

and i doubt if OX, will be returning for Palace, it’s very optimistic that one, although i would love to have him back and raring to go vs Chelsea, would be a real handful but i reckon, it’s going to be a week too soon for him

the likely players to be available by Palace are :

    Theo

    Santi

    Yaya

    Poldi

anyone else be a bonus and be making an unexpected return earlier than usual (hardly ever happens in the world of Arsenal or our outdated/ancient of medics, that need to be upgraded/replaced)- IMO

  30. Gerry says:

TA – They may make sense to us, but what will AW do? 🙂

  31. James Bond says:

that’s the million dollar question, isn’t it Gerry 🙂

  32. Gerry says:

JB I thought November was the time he is due back?

Yaya we will have to be very careful how much he plays. He should get a run out in the Chavs game though. It has to be said , the lad has stepped up in grade a lot, and building up his strength and stamina will be a slow process me thinks. If he can finish off this season well, then he can seriously look for a spot or two net season.

I know this fiture run lokks rather good being in and around London, so presumably the reverse run in March/April will not involve too much travelling either? 🙂

  33. Gerry says:

Sorry, my ‘X’ key is sticking badly!

  34. Gerry says:

Once my error checking goes astray it is time for me to depart too. Keep up the conversation so I have something to read tomorrow ha ha

  35. James Bond says:

yes, that is correct, but you had Ox down to play vs Palace – he is expected to be back on the 10th of November in other words, Arsene Wenger will shield him and do what he did with Santi, keep him at the Colney and only integrate him back after the internationals in november ? (that’s how i am viewing this)

and rightfully so, since we have Theo returning and young Gnabry has not done much wrong , he still needs to be on the bench and play vs Chavs for me.

Yaya, is an interesting one and i can already see that he is eager to play for Arsenal, not just short term but stay here for many many years to come and make a name for himself, he’s consistently on Twitter , supporting Arsenal with genuine passion and interest – tells me that this lad wants to do ever so well for us and maybe show the world how wrong they were for slating AW , when he had signed him on a free (compensation doesn’t count!

am really excited with the likes of Rosicky, Sagna, Theo, Santi and Poldi being fresh and fully fit , all those are massive massive players for us and game changers on their day !

  36. 17highburyterrace says:

Fozzie, my boy says it looks just like mama and papa, when I’ve got my extensions in…Or at least like mama and Gervinho…with maybe papa not being quite so tanned…

    😯 😆

I can’t quite do the micro-managing so far ahead and I’m sure we’ll have some real AND Wenger-issued fitness concerns as the matches come. With rotation, however, comes second guessing and, like I say, my biggest concern is the support. I’m keen to rotate big time vs Chelsea in the CoC match (creating a “no-lose” situation…) but would everybody feel likewise? The league match at the weekend against ‘Pool seems far more important…

From what I could tell (on the telly…) Napoli was a great display–by the team and the support–but it still all feels very tentative to me. I’m looking forward to Totl’s report from the Norwich match. Does the home support really give us a 12th man or is more “wait and see” stuff? My hunch is that if the team performs the crowd will enjoy it; if bounces go against us I predict nerves and a willingness to retreat to the “you don’t know what you’re doing” if not “spend some more money”…

28 (or even 25) points out of 30 is the stuff of dreams. We are NOT a top to bottom stacked team, but, luckily, neither are any of the other teams. There will be plenty of drama and close matches and sometimes taking a point off our direct rivals will be very valuable. My guess is that it will take closer to 80 (rather than 90) points to win the league and around 65 to make the CL places…Not giving up, no matter how bad a run of results might go would seem a key element. I think the squad proved (last Spring) that they can do it. Much of the support had already thrown in the towel, as I recall…

  37. James Bond says:

Arsenal vs Norwich , winning at home – takes us to 19 points (8 games played)

Crystal Palace (bottom of the table team) vs Top of the table team – takes us to 22 points

Arsenal vs LiverFOOL , a win at home, takes us to 25 points (10 games played)

    dreams ? what dreams ?

if, we can’t beat the likes of Liverpool with the wide players we will have (Theo/Poldi/Santi) then we should ideally stop talking about any silverware this season.

LiverFOOL are a one half team and have been very very lucky with some of their matches so far…

if only, we had their luck, we would have been “Invincible s ” this season, but since i’m a dreamer, i am going to back ourselves up to put a “Real” show for Suarez, i hope he is fully fit because this time round – we won’t have TV5 gifting him a goal.

  38. TotalArsenal says:

No surprise the visionary keeps doing the sums 🙂

The next seven games are just there to enjoy one at a time, and what a fine set of courses they are hom hom hom 🙂

  39. James Bond says:

for the avoidance of doubt, i’m not the cautious or holding back type – nor do i believe in the notion of us losing 1 game or 2 games before we enter the “Crisis” either.

we have had our 1 bad game in 8 and now we are ready for another strong run until at least 10th of november.

if, we are going to do something, i much rather us do it with style, class, confidence and a bit of swagger – this is exactly what this current team is, even when we were losing at WBA – Jackie boy scores, picks the ball up and wants play to resume A.S.A.P because the players themselves know that we are better than this and we sure as hell are going to prove everyone wrong (everyone who has been writing us off for all these years and especially after the start of this season).

there is no better drug than winning and winners we are – just in case , you haven’t noticed, most of our players have been grabbing all the headlines for all the right reasons and they are going to be coming back on tuesday with their confidence sky high –

    The Visionary has Spoken 😉

  40. TotalArsenal says:

And that’s why we love you Jambon! 🙂

  41. Right on James… I stand corrected 😉 …

I do believe we’re pretty good and I believe what we did at the deadline (Ozil) was huge…Still, I think there’s gonna be some ebb and flow and a need to PROVE ourselves a few times along the way. In particular for getting the nay-sayers back on board the train… How we react to set-backs will be key… (and, unfortunately, I believe set-backs are inevitable 😦 …)

So, no chest thumping yet (for me, at least). Of course, you’re always welcome to do as you please, Mr. Greystoke… 😀

  42. TotalArsenal says:

How could you even consider chest-thumping with such a lovely lady pressed against it… 🙂

  43. TotalArsenal says:

    17 🙂

Loved to hear about the snow earlier this week. Has it disappeared now?

  44. It`s what you don’t see in 17`s avatar that`s interesting !. If the photo wasn’t cut off at chest height, you would see me putting my cookie where the sun doesn’t shine on Mrs Sagna and Fozzie tea bagging Bacary`s B`s !. hahaha

  45. TotalArsenal says:

    Ooh Darjeeling! 😀

  46. Fozzie B says:

T-bagging is a great muppet tradition first unstudied bt Beakers grand daddy in a science lab near Cornwall 😆 Only participated by the female muppets until grand Cockmother Monster the matriach of the Cockie Monster clan started her special bake of “Cornwall Gold” ……. 😆
And then the t-bagging ritual was handed over to the male members of the Cockie monster tribe…. 😀
And the Om Nom nom noming sounds now take on a funky new dimension!! …..
Bask in the light of truth brethren and hope that for more lines if Cockie crumble to be inhaled from your bed sheets!! 😆

  47. Fozzie B says:

Ps : I and O are to close on mr friggin keyboard and have a Nutella taste in my mouth?? 😆

  48. AB says:

Loads to chew on in here TA.

Firstly, I don’t like these runs of key games, especially after inter-lulls. They seem to put pressure on us and often we struggle – though more often at Christmas and in the early spring. I would like us to take no chances with the squad for Norwich – we must pick up the winning habit again quickly. If we take our games seriously against Norwich and Palace, we should be full of confidence against Liverpool and the Mancs – and they will have good reason to fear us. I won’t go as far as saying I’m optimistic for this PL run, but we have every reason to hope as long as we start well.

Same goes for the CL run. The home game against Dortmund is key – get the home win and the pressure is off us; in fact, if we win at home my money is on a win away to boot.

Squad and rotation. I’ve not been making the correct calls lately so what do I know. Keeping Mert, Giroud and Flam fit and available will be key – the first 2 particularly. I hope Ros, Santi and Arteta all come back strongly – I presume Wenger will want to give Santi a good run out this weekend. I share the view that a yellow for Flam against Norwich would be a timely option, otherwise I can’t see him making both Liverpool and Mancs. Not sure when we are expecting Walcott back, but we miss his pace.

Jack is a bit of a worry at the moment. But I don’t doubt his class for a moment; he has been given a lot to prove after the last couple of weeks, and if he doesn’t get the chance to work it through on Tuesday then I think we might get a really big performance out of him some time very soon.

As ever, I’m cautious about the next games – they are clearly going to be a bigger test of our quality and squad depth. But top of PL and CL group, with players coming back from injury – there isn’t one team in the PL who wouldn’t want to be in our shoes right now.

  49. TotalArsenal says:

Very fine comment and all agreed, AB, and you topped it off with your last sentence 🙂

    Brilliant!

  50. Fozzie B says:

Yes for sure … The flame to get a yellow in Norrich!! 😀

  51. henrychan says:

    Hi all..
    TA.. great post..
You also can’t wait to the next game.. can you..?? Hehehe..

Dortmund isn’t our big issue.. With all their injured players and our own back from injured.. We will nail them down.. both home and away..

Our main issue is Liverpool.. They seem to had a fine season also.. and We must beat them to secure our position.. and for that reason.. We don’t need to bring all full team again Chelsea in COC..
For me COC isn’t a big deal.. give the youngster time to play there.. and if Chelsea will play full team.. let them do that.. for maybe this the only title they may get.. hehehehe..

Our main target is UCL and BPL.. don’t let other lower cup distrube our main target.. hehehe..

And after winning away to Dortmund.. City will be no big deal anymore.. hahaha..

  52. TotalArsenal says:

Agreed Henry. Liverpool are the other in-form team and beating them would be very good in more than one way. How is Yoona?

  53. mac solari says:

Interesting fixture coming up norwich, Dortmond H&A, palace, chealsea, liverpool, and manchester united. Can’t wait for the international break to b over, man! We shall enjoy the best of football during the weeks to come.

  54. Hey TA..fellow gooners

LOVING the gravatar TA..it took me almost half an hour to remember i’m here to read a BRILLIANT post and leave a comment.. 🙂

As you say its OGAAT…the coming fixtures will truly show us how well this team has developed and how deep they can dig in to come out with the results we need..but judging by what we’ve witnessed this season, i’m sure we’ll be fine.

The return to fitness of first team players ala Santi, Ipod and Theo(read somewhere that this trio contributed almost 3/4 of our goals last season) is a TIMELY boost for the squad and judging by the WBA game, Theo and the Ipod will bring some MUCH needed width to our attack

I’m particularly keen on the BVB game..two teams that play the beautiful game..and i believe this will be the matches that tell us how GOOD our squad is..nothing like playing a team that can match yours not only in terms of players but also the style of football they play.

in the past, i’d get worried about the ‘small’ teams but seems we took a corner on that as we dispatch them with ruthlessness..a 4 nil, 5 nil beckoning or is it just me????

i reckon the pool game will be one to show the one with vampire teeth what he missed??.. and how about beating the hell out of the broody woman at where he abandoned us to join???…fun YET difficult times ahead but i’m in no doubt about the mentality and quality of our squad to win with flair yet grind them results when needed…starting to sound like Le Prof????

Points might be dropped in the course of the 7 games but with the quality in the squad AND a bench that will start looking attractive, i think and hope come Nov 10th, we’ll still be ToTL or somewhere close

  55. James Bond says:

    no worres @ 17HT

i know exactly what you mean, although i’m more into us being into crisis caused by injuries than crisis/set backs due to defeats – it’s a game of football, regardless of what team we play, one team has to win and the other loses mostly , if it’s not a stalemate (which has been seldom the case with this arsenal team).

points might be dropped, points might not be dropped but one things for sure though, we are not the only team who have such a congested fixture list or tough matches coming up, by that i mean other teams will also drop points….@ KG

for instance take Chelsea, they play Man city 2 days before they play us ? hence it could have been worse, if we didn’t have Crystal Palace on saturday ?

    on a side note

Red Arse, where art thou these days – the blog is missing you !

anyhow, moving onto to the “grapevine” then it appears that Benzema is well n truly out of Madrid and there might be a lot of smoke involving Suarez – but i won’t be surprised if Man City lose their number 1 striker in January to Madrid instead – a swap deal , maybe ?

which brings me back to Suarez – apparently, he was told by LiverFOOL to not bring his kids onto the field at Anfield and he ended up bringing both of them at Anfield pitch – saying, i don’t care what you tell me to do, i will do it none the less

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    Evening Rectum Revellers!! 😀
I like that news JB!! Really interesting Jan window coming up for the striker market!! Aguero to RM makes a lot is sense! But would the oilers sell? I can’t see it myself.
Ratatouille seems to be ignawing instructions and burning his bridges for sure so maybe he will be RMs backup plan. I’m not keen on Benzene at the mo but maybe the combos would come back with Ozil?
Apparently Jacky boy is giving extra fertiliser to the training ground!! … “Jacky boy that’s not how your meant to put the smoke out!” Says Aunty Wenger 😆

  58. Fozzie B says:

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, currently of Borussia Dortmund must have put the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on full alert when he stated “I will be able to sign a contract [with any club] in January, but I have never said that I will sign a contract with Bayern,” me likey likey!!!
    😀

  59. Fozzie B says:

For me he is the best like for like replacement for RVJ. 😀

  60. James Bond says:

    indeed @ FB

i’m quietly confident that RM will end up with one of Aguero or Falcao and not Suarez.

Lewandowski is headed towards only one place and no where else – don’t believe his constant change of statements, he’s only just keeping things interesting for the tabloids – that’s all

but to call him a like for like for a certain traitor is sort of hyping him, he’s not as good as the traitor and certainly not in the top bracket of strikers for me – not yet anyway.

    Munich can have him.

it’s interesting to note though, how BM and we have one thing in common – the only area we both need strengthening is the Striker/forward line – hmmmmm

  61. Fozzie B says:

Spit it out Greystoke … You know you want to …. 😆

  62. James Bond says:

    😀

but yeah, i’m not quite sure if Jacky boy was really relieving himself, i mean, surely, i have often compared him to John Terry in jest but certainly, he’s not as daft as he may appear ?

it’s basic manners and adequate’s , considering he went straight after to drink water – yikes

for crying out loud, it’s the home of Arsenal training and England training , need i say more ?

  63. Fozzie B says:

So what’s your BM theory JB? 😀

  64. The Cockie Monster says:

What`s the odds then ?……….Our Secret Agent is saying a straight swap……Nikki Bentbar for Wellendowdski !.

  65. Fozzie B says:

Hell Cockie that be a deal and a half!! I I would miss “My little pony” 😆

  66. Fozzie B says:

    Nooooootttttt!!!! 😆

  67. I read that Robbie Savage has been hospitalised after suffering altitude sickness on Mount Kilimanjaro !.

RVP suffered altitude sickness after mounting the little boy inside him`s cock !…..wasn`t really a little boy…..just a young boy with a Monster cock !.

  68. James Bond says:

    ah, Fozzie

    there is no theory here,

BM are sumwat exactly in the same situation as us…lack and depth of a SQ striker and their midfielders are delivering the goods.

Lewandowski is headed there next summer – i have been saying this from a very long time.

it’s just that, BM have actually done something about it, whereas , we are hoping to do something about it in January – let’s just put it this way

BM will announce their summer signing in January and we might Announce our signing in January who happens to also be available to us – immediately.

    hope that helps.

  69. James Bond says:

*their next summer signing in january

  70. Fozzie B says:

I think the greedy badger might be scared of all these badger cullings too Cockie. That little boy with the monster cock might actually have a TB jab for the greedy badger 😆

  71. Fozzie B says:

Now your talking JB!! But who are saying we will sign? Spit it out JB!! – I need your special sauces to make mrs p nice and crackly!!! 😆

  72. Fozzie B says:

Looks like mrs p isn’t getting any loving tonight 😦 😆
