22% of all Arsenal PL-goals come with a ‘Theo Walcott stamp’…

And that’s why we should try hard to keep him, if he indeed wants to stay with us.

Image

The Theo Walcott saga is still carrying on and threatens to undo all the good work over the summer, in terms of sorting out the squad early and focussing hard on team building. Arsenal somehow managed to start the season brightly and cohesively, despite the significant setbacks of losing the traitorous Dutchman and Alex Song so late in summer. But the ongoing contract shenanigans with our very own Speedy Gonzales could still throw a spanner in the works.

As posted last week, I rate Theo highly and I would love him to stay. The reasons for this are both the fact that he has become a major contributor to our goals scored over the last two seasons, and that the man is only 23.5 years old – his very best years are just around the corner. For more Theo background info see also: https://bergkampesque.com/2012/09/26/in-a-fluid-three-upfront-walcott-could-be-a-success-in-the-middle/

In 2010-2011, Theo had 9 PL goals and 7 PL assists in just 28 appearances. Arsenal scored a total of 72 goals that season, and so, 22% of all PL goals had a shiny ‘Theo stamp’ on them. In 2011-12, Theo had 8 goals and 8 assists in 35 appearances. Arsenal scored 74 goals that season and so, once again, 22% of all PL goals were either scored or made directly by the speedy Englishman. However frustrating Theo can sometimes be to watch, and despite some not insignificant shortcomings, theses figures are not to be ignored: they are bread and butter stats.

With the two other top providers of assists, Song and brave sir robin – who, as we all know well was also our, and the PL’s, top scorer last season – already gone, and the newly purchased attacking players needing time to settle in, we can ill afford to let Theo hang on like this – and stink the place out in the meantime.

This saga has been going on for far too long and it starts to reek of incompetence. I don’t want to sum up all the things that have been said by either Theo or Arsenal in this post. I am sure you are just as sick and tired about the whole thing as I am. But what is of vital importance now is that Theo is either signed up to a new contract asap, or he goes on garden leave till the start of the next transfer window.

We just cannot have a player coming on for the last 25 minutes in a crucial game that we are chasing against a major rival, who is not fully committed to the cause; or at least fully focussed on doing his best for our club. That is exactly what happened on Saturday and it is just not good enough.

I don’t really care who is to blame most for this anymore; whether it is the club totally mismanaging the contract negotiations or Theo being unreasonably difficult.

Only the club and Theo’s negotiators know the truth, and for us it will remain hidden. But what we can all see right in front of us is a player who is not playing enough to be able to deliver the goods for us. With an average of just 1.7 goals per game, we are not scoring enough goals in the Premier League at the moment, and we can ill afford to keep Theo in limbo/let Theo keep us in limbo.

But I will say this, unless Theo is being totally unreasonable about his demands for a new contract – and I, for one, am still prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt – the club should not dither any longer and sign him up. Arsenal needs Theo’s goals and assists this season, and on top of that, his PL-experience. We should be the ones who’ll see him play the very best years of his careers in the mighty red and white, and at the Home of Football.

If he wants to play in the middle of our attack, then that is possible in the current system of fluent/interchanging three attackers up-front. It would give Arsene a good plan-B, where his plan-A would continue to be an attack centred on Giroud in the middle (as a ‘holding striker’). I cannot imagine Theo demanding more ‘central striker guarantees’ than that, and I also doubt money is another key stumbling block.

But whatever the exact issues are re Theo’s current predicament, it is time to sort it out one way or another, so we can all move on and concentrate on the key football months ahead, and EVERYONE is singing from the same hymn sheet.

Total Arsenal.

  • I would keep Walcott, simples.

Give him a run up front, he can’t do any worse than Giroud. That’s where our trouble lies and until Wenger addresses it properly we will always be second best. If we had a quality striker Saturday we would not have lost. I simply don’t rate this Giroud guy. I know he has just come into the side but I don’t see any thing in him.

  • Morning VCC 🙂

I agree, the jury is definitely still out re Giroud. The big question is, is he talented enough but simply struggling with adapting to the PL/life at Arsenal, or is he simply not talented enough to make it at Arsenal? I still reckon he will come good, but we have to start using him better and give him far better service. By Christmas we can pass proper judgement.

  • Nice one, i always say it the boss ve to be starting Theo and Giroud b/c wt Giroud positioning nd height he need those Theo’s crossing

  • Hi Edu 🙂

I guess the problem is that Theo is pushing hard for a central position and would like Arsene to give him that chance now. Giroud is not a winger, but a beast in the box. So, as it is now, it is either Theo or Giroud as I cannot see them play together a lot in the foreseeable future.

  • Morning Red Arse, nice to see you over here.
Total, I will eat my hat if I am wrong, and I truly hope I am, but I don’t see anything in Giroud. Has no pace, lacks shooting skill and seems awkward in his movement. His brain to feet reaction seems laboured, but hey what do I know. Good luck to him, I hope for his and Arsenals sack he becomes a legend, watch this space as they say.

  • VCC, he seems to struggle with adjusting to the speed of the PL and Arsenal’s pass and move game at the moment. The one thing we can say about him is he wants to improve badly.

I watched a bit of your soft-spot team playing at home against Bolton Ham. A bit of work to be done, I’d say, but what a peach of a goal by Tarabt: very Bergkampesque! 🙂

  • Im afraid your right about QPR. Unfortunately they have the wrong manager. Let me say this quietly ……shshhhshshshhshhs i wish it was arry. Don’t tell any one on AA. (he he ) . No seriously obviously i have a soft spot as i was born within a stones throw from their ground and most of my family (Uncles/Aunts/cousins) support them. Also it was my dear old Dad’s team. He would have been annoyed with the sloppy defending last night. Think they have been watching Arsenals defensive dvd’s.

Hate to say this Total, but unless Wenger addresses our centre forward position, we will struggle to score goals this season. Why does he persist with shopping in France? most of the time?

  • VCC, I am not (yet) worried about us scoring goals. There are plenty of goals in this team and I would hate to have to rely again on the one top striker as we did last season.

Why does Arsene shop in France a lot? In-depth knowledge of the player market, cheap(er), French link with Arsenal, good competition for players to develop…helping the French economy? 😆

  • Total…..like you i am glad we have changed our philosophy in relying on one striker (dirty traitorous scum RvP) but with Giroud as our striker its a bloody good job, because we would be the lowest scoring team in the premiership. I can’t help but think for £12million there must have been a better option out there than Mr.Giroud. As you say he wants to improve, but so does every child going to school. That won’t win us competitions. We need a proven goalscorer, thats the missing piece in our jig saw.

  • VCC, Gervinho scored four in his last four games…. 😀

You might be on to something – and I am sure we both hope desperately that you are NOT – but it really is too early to tell. We had a bad start in terms of scoring goals, but we managed to score two at Anfield, one at the Northern Oil Refinery, and one against the Chavs – and of course six against the Saints. That really isn’t bad at all and is better if you compare with like for like games last season.

Keep the faith and I hope we wallop the Greeks tomorrow; if only for the return of your happiness with everything Arsenal again! 🙂

  • Hi Total,
re Walcott – I would grant his wish and play him in his preferred role as striker, and give him five games to make the position his own. If he failed to nail it, I would sell in January.
If I wanted to comment on here in the future, where would I find the site? Are you on NN?

  • TA,

In a way, the fact that I have on a number of occasions expressed my view on Theo that I desperately want him to convince us all that he has something consistently special to offer, but have so often been disappointed by his performances that it makes it easier for me to to arrive at certain conclusions.

Firstly, the contract negotiations between Theo and the club have been so peculiar that I think something has happened behind the scenes that we are not privy to.

Does Wenger care whether he stays or goes? Well if he does not care, then surely he would have sold him before he entered the final year of his contract, rather than lose millions on his sale?

The answer must be that Theo refused any transfer and preferred to wait out the last year of his contract, so that he would benefit financially, rather than Arsenal. If he refused to go in August, presumably he will refuse to go in January, for the same reason.

If that is not the case, I think Theo owes it to the fans to explain just exactly what he is up to.

There can be no benefit to Arsenal in this situation having developed this way, but if they could not agree to increasing Theo’s salary over a certain amount, and why should they allow themselves to be blackmailed, they would have wanted to sell him, if they could. Neither can they reveal an employees private discussions with the public — only Theo can do that.

Would we lose the benefit of Theo’s goals if he left? Well yes, we would.
However, in the same way that all seemed doom and gloom regarding the creative cohesiveness of the team when Cesc left, we soon found someone equally good, and possibly better for the team in Cazorla, I think we would find someone just as good or even better than Theo if he left.

Nothing stands still in life or football, and new talent is always arriving as the old fades away or simply leaves.

I have never been that fussed when players leave Arsenal. They are all mercenaries and that is just a fact of football life. That said, I do regret great talent like RvP going to a keen EPL competitor like ManU, and I would feel the same way if Theo joined Liverpool or Chelsea, but that is out of the hands of fans like you or I, and we just have to suck it up and live with it.

perhaps a response you were not expecting! 🙂

  • Hi Herb, that sounds like a very good plan. Five games to prove himself – I guess he deserves that: give him at least 60 minutes every game, and see what happens.

I am not on NewsNow yet, and it might take a while. But you can either bookmark Bergkampesque or look at the Arsenal ‘search engines’ of ‘Arsenal News’ and ‘Just Arsenal Blogs’ (see top-right page for links). Cheers. 🙂

  • Hi Herb, 🙂

Glad you are thinking of returning to blogging!! 🙂

On your PC you probably have an icon for bookmarks ‘adding to favourites’.

If you are using Internet Explorer for example, besides the “Home” icon there is one for bookmarks. Just press that button and it asks you if you want to keep the page etc.

Other programmes like “Chrome” or “Safari” all have similar bookmark facilities, and when you want Bergkampesque you don’t need to go searching for it.

    Good luck! 🙂

  • Hi RA 🙂

    You wrote:

If it, eventually, turns out he is really happy to hang on for another year so he can gain financially, I would be very disappointed. He has said the opposite; that it is all about were he wants to play and not money.

I agree with you on the mercenary nature of the (modern day) footballer and I think it is really good that Arsene is buying the likes of Arteta, the Mert, Podolski etc now: they are happy to join us at their peak and are far more likely to stay loyal during the duration of their contracts, and possibly beyond.

  • I was really pleased that Jack came thru his run out with the U21s all in one piece. I understand that he got caught by a fierce tackle and had to have the Physio on, but then carried on OK.

PingPong said they had been training together while recuperating and that he had given Jack plenty of bruises so that he was becoming match hardened! 🙂

I just hope Arsene does not rush Li’l Jack back!

  • RA, we have waited for little Jack for so long now, and yes don’t rush him back too quickly. But if he is fit, he is fit and he should play. Especially now Diaby is out for a while, there is an opportunity for JW10 to get some proper playing time. I cannot wait to see thunder-thighs again! 🙂

  • Hi Evonne, 🙂

You are right in so much as it is not worth taking ‘unnecessary’ risks, but let’s face it, everything is a risk of some sort!

  • Oh high Evonne, how did you sneak in?! I almost missed your comment somehow. 🙂

Yes it is a risk, it is also a risk to continue with OG…. It is a difficult decision to make for Monsieur Arsene…

  • TA,

I know Theo has said the contract stalling was not over money, but the whole thing does not make sense, and I think others in that situation have been economical with the truth too.

It is not just an Arsenal ‘thing’ but we have had RvP, Flamini and others who came out with a similar spiel and saying it was just a matter of time or tying up loose ends etc., and then buggering off! 😦

  • I forgot to say, TA, that I do not hold with any player insisting, during contract negotiations, that he can pick and choose his place in the team.

The manager manages, in my book, and if that is Theo’s demand he can take a hike! The sooner the better.

  • Total….I am not proud of criticising OG. I wish him well and hope he is a TOTAL success, really I do.
But all my life I have been extremely competitive in all I do, and I want Arsenal to win, win, win, nothing else, I cant help it. If I was playing you in a game of crib or scrabble (or anything) I would want to win.
Dont get me wrong, I am hopeful of this Arsenal squad, but cant help thinking if we had a proven striker we would be top and not just top four.
I know we have done well so far with sharing the goals out and Gervinho has done well too, but with a top striker we could and should have been closer to the Chavs, if not above them.
I love Arsenal unconditionally, and as a few people on here says I am trying to be constructive, not destructive.
    COYG

  • But RA, he is 23 years old and believes passionately he is not a winger but a striker, he would love to stay at Arsenal – so he says – and Arsene/the club appear to be in total limbo about what to do…

I agree the manager manages and if he really does not see Theo in the central striker position then a decision – one way or another – is well overdue.

I really hope this won’t drag on like the RvP/Flamini sagas! 😦

  • Great stuff TA. I delight in having you as my spokesman. Could not agree more with your analysis of the Theo situation. i would like Theo to stay and as you have pointed out, despite his weaknesses, the guy is effecient and i like effecient. However, the situation must be sorted out. Its not doing the player or the club any good in persisting with this limbo so the sooner we know one way or the other the better.

Redders, hahaha. Thank you for the “Bloody Hand” yesterday. Reminds me of a time when i tried to impress my cousin who was over from Crete on a holiday. Took him to a dodgy nightclub, but my first attempt at a pull ended with “eff off you bloody hand merchant”. As i sheepishly slinked away, my cousin in a strong Greek accent looked at me for a few seconds and said “what is this bloody hand” ???. hahahaha

  • Hi Redders. Thanks Total.
I’m not sure about returning to blogging Redders. Having never blogged before my experiences on AA, I was quite shocked at some of the language and the level of vitriol. It’s a great site with many great people, but some people are quick to show their ugly side if you express an opinion that doesn’t go with the flow.
My reasoning over Walcott is that he has said playing up front is an issue in the contract negotiations, and if he’s never tested in that role we’ll never know. It would be much worse if he wasn’t allowed the opportunity and he moved on to prove us wrong at one of our rivals.
My only other question over Walcott is whether or not he has the stomach for a fight when it matters.

  • VCC, you have my full respect and understanding as in where you are coming from! It all makes for good blogging and you should never feel awkward in expression your point of view here! 🙂

I am not saying all is hunky-dory and my expectations remain cautiously optimistic, not more than that. But it really is early days and we had a full-on start to the season. In two months we can both be more definite about the fortunes of our team this season.

  • Herb. That is my only concern with Walcott…..as you say….has he got the stomach for a fight? He needs to grow a pair of balls and stand up to the bullies in the premiership. Spot on Sir.

  • Thank you Total, that is all i am doing, expressing my view, and as you say it makes for good blogging.
I had a wager before a ball was kicked that we would win the premiership and I am still hopeful, but in an ideal world I suppose I want utopia.

  • Hi Terry, 🙂

I bet when your cousin went back to Greece he told everyone how well you were doing in London and you even had a special name as the ‘Effing Bloody Hand’! 🙂 That will make the Glicster jealous.

VCC, I happen to agree with you. AW probably thought he had bought a top striker in Giroud, and in the medium to long term he may be proven right – I hope so – but we could have done with a striker up and running now. I just do not think Theo is the one either.

Herb, altho’ I have given my opinion about Theo as a CF to VCC, that does not mean Arsene should not try him out, as you suggest, but frankly if AW does not want Theo as a CF, and that is the cause of the contract problem — well he is the manager and that says it all.

By the way, Herb, we all encounter difficulties on the blog scene, and you are no exception. Just do as I do, if you come across some creep that cannot behave in a civilzed way, simply ignore them, don’t engage them in chat, because there are far more ‘good guys’ around who are fun to chat with.

If you remember that advice — you won’t go wrong!! 🙂

  • VCC, utopia is still too strong a word for your wager 🙂

How many times did the horrible Mancs win the PL despite losing embarrassing games against their main rivals? The biggest test is to follow now: can we stand up and be counted? Against Bolton Ham on Saturday we will get the evidence! If after 90 minutes Sammi Allerdyci is frothing at the mouth and Arsene does his eagle-look of contentment towards the cameras we know we have ripped them one! 🙂

  • Hi Red Arse. Some one agrees with me yipeeee. As Mickey Rooney said in Angels with dirty faces. “On top of the world Ma” rolf.

  • Herb. I watched the whole game down my local (with my QPR shirt on) It was a good game and West Ham just pipped it for me. We will have a fight on our hands if they play like that on Saturday. As per usual in the English premiership it was poor refereeing again. I said earlier, they need a new Manager, Mark Hughes is poor imo.
I too have fallen fowl of some remarks on forums, all I do is give an opinion and respect others who dissagree, but some times you get the feeling your not supposed to go against the flow, how very dare you.
Wenger used to be God in house, but all I have said on another site is, I think he is loosing it slightly with some of his purchases. That does not say in any way that I am not pleased with him being our manager, on the contrary, we could not get better in our position.

  • He’s a decent manager VCC, not in the top echelons of greats.
Dennis Bergkamp was the vital ingredient when we were last winning major trophies, as well as having a quality goalkeeper and a real leader, issues which Mr Wenger hasn’t properly addressed for a while.

  • VCC,

I think you have gone all poetic on the other site, so how about this response.

    Roses are red,
    Violets are blue,
    Glic’s are green,
    But what can you do?

  • Oh Herb, memories memories memories. I used to tell my guys on a Sunday, all levels of football have an element of fear, we have lost that factor.
Can you imagine lining up before you enter the arena looking over to your opponents and seeing a line with………..
    Adams
    Bergkamp
    Pires
    Ljundberg
    Vieira
    Keown
    Dixon
    Winterburn
    Lehman

Excuse my French but you would be saying under your breath “How the F— are we going to beat these guys?”

    Those were the days.
I remember saying to Geoff Strong (AA site) my pal whilst watching those games “It doesn’t get any better than this”

  • Nice one Red Arse. I was going to say to Peaches and Evonne…..Two blondes walked into a building——–you’d think at least one of them would have seen it

  • Indeed VCC, added as Total says with Henry, we played brilliant, devestating football. But it doesn’t have to be about money if you use your resources with due dilligence and intelligence, something there hasn’t been enough of at Arsenal.

  • Herb if we carry on like this, agreeing with each other we will start people talking about us. The likes of Chavs.ManUre and City simply can,t buy every player. With Wenger,s expertise and shrewdness we can field a team that can be competitive. He has started to mix n match youth with experience and I feel this is coming to fruition. He needs to unearth a fox in the box/poacher type of player. Then the jig saw will be complete. As hairy Terry keeps saying we are starting to rumble.

  • Everton paid £5.5m for Jelavic who now has 11 goals in 13 Prem games, we paid £12m for yet another French player who may or may not come good. When Mr Wenger arrived, French football was in the ascendancy, but they haven’t been on top of their game for many years now, so I wish this obsession for buying cheap French players would stop.

  • Total….indeed, that’s the point, you see all these players lining up and then out steps Thierry Henry. Well F— that, we might as well go home. You’ve already lost in the dressing room/tunnel. We simply do not possess that fear, teams are now bullying US.

  • Herb…..will you please go and have a nice cup of tea in the garden, this is getting boring. We certainly sing from the same song sheet. Been banging this drum over on another site but all I get is “your anti Wenger” ….simply not true. He must stop being stubborn and admit the French are not the force they once were. Venture somewhere else, there’s plenty more playing fields around Europe.

  • Guys, I will be out for a bit. So just to say I think Arsene has discovered the German marked now: Mertesacker, Podolski and Eisfeld, and I expect more to come from there. 🙂

  • Not a bad shout Total. With a hat full of Germans, at least if we make a penalty shoot out we might stand a chance.

  • In all seriousness, it looks like Arsene will buy more and more from the Spanish, German and French competitions. It all remains to be seen whether he will keep getting players from Africa. This might be trend coming to the end. For the first time since Wenger has joined Arsenal there is not a single Dutchman in the squad (except for one or two youngsters) any more. It does not have to mean anything, but I reckon the future of Arsenal is English, German, Spanish and French.

  • Great stuff Total.
I hope he stays, as with some of our best players leaving over the past few years, we will be weaker without him, he can be a potent weapon in our Arsenal !, pun intended. hahaha
One of my bosses is at Harrods today with samples of our deliceous pies. It would be great if it took off and the delivery was on a match day, then I could come up for quite a few games (time, travelling and costs is what holds me back, but If I`ve got to be there in work time, no problem, fingers are now extremely crossed. hahaha ).

  • hahaha I`ve just seen I`ve written “time travelling “, dont tell Redders , he`ll be jealous that I invented it before him, I shall keep coming back to remind him though !. hahaha

  • Hi Total,
what is it that you think Tomas Rosicky still gives to Arsenal? He had one game during the Euro’s (which surprise surprise he got injured again), and in his first relatively injury-free season in six years at Arsenal, he scored 1 goal and provided no assists. For a creative attacking midfielder that is woeful.

  • Hi Herbster
Let me answer that question, as I am renowned for my TicTac technical knowhow. He gives us……….erm…………well…………where`s Total, when you need him ?. hahaha
I think he has got that buzzing ability, he`s always seems available and keeps it ticking over well, linking the play. They cant all be scorers and assisters, “a cog in the dream team machine” !. I like that , I shall probably be up for a ” quote of the minute award ” !. hahaha

  • Watchyer GliC,
essentially, as with Diaby, we are paying big wages for players who have given virtually nothing in return. Rosicky at Dortmund was brilliant, at Arsenal he has been a waste of space.

  • Yes Herb
They are excellant players on tremendous wages, but no one can predict the outrageous bad luck of injuries they and others keep getting. I myself keep getting calf injuries and they take ages to heal, it does get me down as i love my running and 5 a side. I should imagine they are both well and trully peed off aswell. Money probably doesn`t come into the equation when they`re depressed, they just want to play.

  • TA,

Got to go, but I was thinking of writing a short Post about Arsenal’s latest results.
(OK it was Herb’s fault). It is intended as a discussion point to explain some of the fundamentals, and not as a boring in depth accounting document full of incomprehensible figures and razz-ma-tazz which would only bore the arse of Glic, and his green doings.

Would you be interested in it for ‘B’, or should I just forget about it??] 🙂 🙂

  • Diaby had a shocking injury record at Auxerre, playing only 6 games in two years. Why would anyone gamble on such an injury-prone player!
You are a lot more reasonable and patient with the set-up than me.

  • Funnily enough, Herb, I tried out my ‘English’ accent and said “watcher cock’ to a cockney friend of my American buddy.

I was a bit non-plussed when he said with a snarl “wash yer own!”

Luckily he was only kidding, or I would have had to use him as a chair and squash him!! 🙂

  • I didn`t know that Herb, Indeed , that may be a questionable gamble, but surely he had a tough medical ?.

    Redders
If I had an ” English” accent, I`d be the love interest in Downton Abbey !. Never mind , back to my ” Tea Leaf” part in Oliver Twist !. hahaha

  • Well let’s hope it was better than Arteta’s GliC, because he didn’t have a medical at all!
Redders I have a moral dilemma that I need to discuss with you, do you have my e-mail address?

  • Hi Herb, a fully fit again Rosicky is a great squad player to have. He always gives his all when fit, which I admit is not often and a real shame. He also ensures we play the Arsenal way – often given us back our shape, as he lets the whole team function better.

I agree with you though that having two fitness liabilities in midfield – Diaby and Rosicky – is a real downer.

  • Thanks Total. I appreciate your point, but Rosicky, Diaby and a few others are probably part of the reason van Persie left. As I pointed out earlier, if you can use your resources intelligently enough you can still outwit the Billionaires. There is no desire or urgency. We should be responding to Chelsea’s CL triumph, we are supposed to be the biggest and best in London. Robin van Persie left Arsenal because Manchester United are a bigger club and SAF is a proven winner, and that is wrong. We moved to the Emirates to be on a par with MU, not surrender our best players to them.
And in spite of what anybody says about Ferguson, it remains a fact that in the summer of 1986, he agreed terms with the Arsenal Board to become Arsenal manager.

  • Evening Herb, I am absolutely convinced we are at least on a par with MU now. The traitor signed for money and nothing else and I will never forgive him for it. MU are rotten at the back, a mess in midfield and super strong in attack. The latter will not be enough for them to win anything again this year, I reckon. Would you want to swap with them right now? I wouldn’t.

Ferguson has been a very successful manager and you can never write MU off completely.

  • To be frank, that was so well argued and written you almost had me wanting him to stay. But no I cannot be swayed.

I have no fear whatsoever that Theo wil run riot in the PL or anywhere else on a consistent basis in the future …for us or anyone else. His best chance is with us, based on the way we play and the freedom Arsene gives players to simply go out and play.

    Sell

  • Hi Sharkey,

    ‘Sell’!

Are you in the selling of shares etc business?! 🙂

I agree his best chance is with us… but I guess we both agree that we need clarity and the situation resolved, one way or another, as soon as possible.

Have you been to any matches recently?

  • Delete my last one !!

In complete agreement that the limbo needs to be ended. 100%

  • Sorry about that Sharkey! 🙂

You might know that first time bloggers need to be ‘approved’ – that’s how the wordpress system is set up (and believe me it makes sense!). Once approved, you are free to blog and roll. 🙂
