£50 I paid today for a seat eight rows up from a corner flag at Carrow Road. I had to sit on my hands as I was surrounded by yellow and green Canaries with not a fellow Gooner in sight. £50 is a lot of money for me, and the only thing I want back for it is a spirited performance of the whole team; with a hunger to win, and undiluted pride in wearing our red and white, mighty shirt.
I don’t like losing but I will accept it if the team has given their all. But tonight I did not get much back for my money, and it is simply not good enough.
This was a disjointed and toothless performance. One of the worst away games I have attended in a long time. I knew approximately five minutes after Norwich fortuitous goal – as in, against the run of play – we simply were never going to score in this game.
The contrast with the West Ham away game a fortnight ago could not have been bigger. There was no cohesion, players looked rusty and lacked zest and creativity, and they came across dazed and confused. I don’t think they totally lacked desire as such, but they did lack focus, and that all important ‘over my dead body are we going to lose today’ attitude.
Norwich played well and overall they deserved their win. Yet, I will dare to say that they will not get a much easier home game this season: that’s how rubbish Arsenal were.
The wings were none existent for large parts of the game, and our crosses into the box were not worthy of the Premier League.
Why is it that every time we need to replace a player we seem not able to cope? In all previous games Gibbs and Podolski have enjoyed a fine partnership, making the left wing a real area of threat. Today, Podolski and Santos were in total disharmony with each other, and only if and when Gervinho forced himself onto the left wing did we see a bit of effective wing-play ensue. This just infuriates me. We have got a good squad and should be a lot better at replacing players if and when we have injuries or suspension.
On the right wing we did not fare much better. Again, Gervinho and Jenkinson struggled as a partnership, although as individuals they did not perform too badly. In fact, Jenkinson’s performance was the only bright Arsenal light during the entire game: what a fine player he is becoming.
Diaby’s position is another one were we don’t seem to be able to make a smooth replacement in our formation/ system of football. Ramsey did ok in the ‘lynchpin’ position, but not more than that. As I have written in previous posts, this is a crucial position and we need a real driver in it. Both Arteta and especially Cazorla just did not have the energy to carry the midfield between them this time, and Diaby was dearly missed. Luckily Jack is close to returning to the first team and the sooner the better.
Norwich were very well organised in the centre of defence and whatever we tried we seldom or never found a way through it. As our wings were ineffective as well, we simply struggled to create clear cut changes and I have seldom seen Arsenal look so disjointed, and so ineffective.
I was too far away from our goal when we conceded the goal, but a) why was Tettey allowed to take a shot unhindered b) should Mannone have done better (swerve or not) and c) why was fatso Holt quicker to react than Mertesacker? As long as we keep conceding this sort of goals, and especially in away games, we are not going to win anything this season.
In fact, we rode our luck on a few occasions when several toothless attacks through the middle resulted in quick, and deadly simple, counter attacks with which our defence was more than once not able to cope.
So the whole team let us down tonight and Wenger and Bould have some explaining to do. But more much more important than that: we need to see a response on Wednesday and Saturday that is worthy of our club. This is The Arsenal, and the players need to show that they are worthy of wearing our mighty red and white shirt.
Anything less than a spirited win in the next two games will be simply unacceptable.
Total Arsenal.
Thanks Total
Sorry you had a crap game to watch. after all the earlier results, I would say anything other than a win today was unacceptable if are to challenge for a CL place. Luckily there are plenty of games to put it right and luckily I have not got any expectations higher than 4th !
Evening GLiC 🙂
You are spot on with having realistic expectations. Of course we can pull all sorts of bigger conclusions on the basis of this one game, but I am purely writing about the game tonight. That was not good enough and I expect a response worthy of our club!
As I’ve said many times GliC, I’m not bothered what other clubs spend, our resources haven’t been used intelligently enough, and that is the manager’s fault.
If only our players displayed the same passion as your excellent Post, Total.
Supporting Arsenal has become an on-going nightmare with no end in sight.
Hi Total
I just had to time travel to the previous post to tell Herb I`m on this future one ! hahaha
I`ve got to some how find a way to defend the clubs losing mentality to Herb, quick Total help me before Herb finds me in this future post !. hahaha
Shit Herb, where did you just appear from ?. I`ve been time travelling to bring you back to the future and I find your already here ! hahaha
I need the help of a super optimistic TMHT to convince you, but unfortunately, Terry is in a state of depression after todays performance and is on tranquilisers ! hahaha
Hi guys,
As I said in the post the contract between the WH and Norwich game could not have been bigger.
Today Arsene did not make the right selection and/or team talk. After an international break teams often drop points in away games, so we should have been mentally prepared. I just wanted to shout at them: bloody wake up and focus. I cannot single out an individual who did not try – it was not that: it was a lack of focus and concentration and of being a cohesive team that played with a deadly purpose. Tonight I blame Wenger for this performance: he should have known and done better in preparing for this game. 😦
In simple terms GliC, the whole set up is embarrassing, and an insult to Arsenal fans everywhere.
I have gone along with people’s defence of Mr Wenger, and willed myself to believe as they do, but the harsh reality is that he isn’t a top top coach, he has had his ego massaged by Silent Stan because nobody is better at asset-stripping than our manager.
Evening again Herb 🙂
You are totally entitled to make big conclusions tonight about Wenger, Kroenke etc.
For me this the second bad game we played as a whole team (first one was second half against Montpellier). Against Chelsea individual mistakes cost us during set play, but as a team we played well.
Today’s game cannot be excused but I am not going to go down the same path as you in terms of criticising the whole set-up of the club. I respect your points of view though.
Herb
I`m going to sleep now and think of an answer as I think your going a bit over the top because of one bad day at work ( no doubt you are going to say it`s more than one bad day ) and by the time I wake up, I hope Redders and Terry will have answered it for me ! hahaha
I know it hurts Herb and maybe I disguise it a lot better than most or it may be my lower levels of expectation due to the abnormal levels of money pumped in by the previously mentioned culprits. It`s because of the love we have, why it hurts so much and the best we can do is give them more love.
Nite nite 🙂
Sweet dreams GLiCster! 😛
RVP should have NEVER been SOLD. Giroud is another Chamakh.
Gervinho plays well on the left and clearly he is not good enough drifting from the right.
Ramsey is not good ENOUGH to start for Arsenal..
Thanks TA, You are of course correct, that was unaceptable and extreme shit. There are no excuses,
Cornwall, i agree with you 100%. Its to early for us to chalange the top 3. there resources are vastly greater and they simply have better players and more depth to there squads. Out of the remaining clubs, we should get fourth, becuase we are, in my opinion, the best of the rest.
My hopes for the future are not shaken. We are on the right, and may i say, the only realistcly long term path for future success. It might take a couple of years, and there will be some painful moments in between, but we will get there.
Herb, sorry my friend, but you are wrong. Asset stripping is when a clubs assets i.e. the players are sold off without been replaced. Arsenal do replace there players and every there our wage bill goes up, that is not asset stripping. As for Arsene not been a good coach, he has the unenviable task of finnishing above, barring the two spanish clubs, the three most financialy powerful clubs in the world. He can not be blamed for failing to bridge this gap.
We are were we are and its no ones fault. As Cornwall has said, fourth must be the aim until the envoirement swings more favourably to our favour. No wringing of hands or wailing will change this fact, we simply have to be a bit more paitent.
Now were are those tranquilisers? hahaha
Night GliC.
What other club in world football are relying on their third-choice Goalkeeper because their manager is too stubborn to spend the necessary money? Yes you can cite injuries, but when haven’t we been riddled with injuries for the past six years? Our manager buys injury-prone players!
Diaby, Rosicky, Arshavin (£15m???), Gervinho, Santos, Giroud…over-rated by Mr Wenger and by association, some Arsenal fans too. They are nowhere near good enough to take Arsenal to the level expected, and a couple of decent results against inferior opposition (before today!) cannot disguise that.
Our wage-bill is so high Terry because we have this ridiculous habit of rewarding mediocrity, as flagged up by Ivan Gazidis in the summer, which as you know is why we can’t off-load them. Incompetence I think he called it, yet we still persist with it, so not many lessons learned!
Evening Terry 🙂 and welcome Zak 🙂
Zak, RvP forced himself out of the team. Aaron is struggling to establish himself in the first team and I am starting to worry whether he came make the grade. Agreed on Gervinho’s best position. Let’s see what the boys are made of on Wednesday and Saturday. 🙂
Quite a nice and lightly thought review. I was slaughtered by some Arsenal fans some time after the game when I criticized the team and its apparent flaws. By that, I wanted to point out that a considerable amount of the defects the team has today could have been easily countered if Wenger had done this or that. By giving my opinion, I remember being cut open for critizing Wenger the man himself. 😀
It’s hard to believe that allthough I don’t expect the team to win the trophy at the beginning of each season, I still have the hope they will, but all I get is deception in the Mid October/November window for my foolish expectations. It’s a bit hard to be a gooner sometimes. 🙂
Welcome to BK Nis 🙂
I agree with all you are saying. I told myself to lower my expectations at the start of the season, but still somehow allowed them to be raised again.
This is our fist really poor game and there is still every possibility that we will recover from this again. Hah, now I am raising expectations again! 😛
Asset-stripping Terry, as in selling off world-class talent and replacing them with cheap injury-prone pale imitations. How many storming games have we had from Diaby, Rosicky, Walcott or Arshavin?
Is Mr Wenger more intelligent than George Graham?
I’ve said this before, historically we are massive under-achievers, particularly during the 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Now you can use all the excuses and reasoning you like, but as far as I’m concerned, given who we are and the amount of time we’ve spent in England’s top tier, we should have a record that at the very least rivals that of MU and Liverpool.
The fact that we haven’t comes down to exceedingly poor decisions being made by the club’s hierarchy again and again. Yes, I’m jealous of the success those two clubs have had, domestically and in Europe, but angry too, because I feel a huge sense of betrayal from the top brass, and it continues today, without conscience or accountability, and that is wholly unacceptable.
Total. Your chosen word “Unacceptable” is spot on. How the fwefgksertfcsdffvcvffdfffff was that allowed to be a performance from Arsenal.
Wenger needs to explain this performance, and how, and quick. That was the worse display from an Arsenal team I can remember.
People (AA) will inevitably scream at me quoting “knee jerk” but I fear the word “patience” springs to mind.
I have been reading several old entries made by Herb. He gets some stick from certain quarters, but I’m slowly being converted.
I had high hopes about this current squad, but after that awful display I’m knocked back to earth again.
You must feel cheated having spent £50 on a ticket. If that was me I would want my money back.
Rant over, now going to calm down and have my boiled eggs and soldiers.
Laters Peeps.
Morning fellow Gooners 🙂
Still feeling shitty about last night’s performance but the show must go on. We need to use a performance like this to turn things round again. Other than the second half against Montpellier, this was the first really bad performance by the team.
Let’s see how the team will respond now. Arsenal has had fantastic away performances against Liverpool, MC and West Ham this season, and the bigger picture is still positive. Still feel gutted though! 😦
Morning VCC, hope your boiled eggs and soldiers did the trick! 🙂
VCC
How can Total demand his money back ?. He was under cover in the Norwich end !. as far as Norwich are concerned Total was a Norwich fan !. Whats he going to say ?, ” I want my money back because we beat the Arsenal , we`re a disgrace ! ” . hahaha
Morning GLiC, I wore my Arsenal shirt under my jumper, so I would have had proof! 🙂
Anyway, out for most of the day now which leaves me a bit time to reflect. We’ll bounce back like Beyonce’s bootalicious bottom! 😆
COYRRG!!!!!
Hi Total
I`d rather that performance be at Norwich than at the QPR game next week when I`m there !
VCC has eggs and soldiers ( bloody cannibal ! ) for brekkers, where as I had lasts nights Ruby warmed up !, lovely !.
I too have time to reflect ! and what a gorgeous reflection it is in front of my mirror ! hahaha
Morning TA,
I really felt for you during and after that game. You were so delighted to have obtained a ticket, like many others I suspect, and to have ended up at such a poor match must have been appalling.
That dreadful side to side passing, which you will remember how much I dislike it, was evident right from the outset. I feared the worst then and somehow it simply got worse.
The BBC said Arsenal had something like 65% of the possession, but what is the point of possession and no attacking thrust when you are losing. It is a style of play I hate when it is not done with intelligence.
I cannot agree with Herb’s point of view which seems to be similar to a car having a flat tire and the owner taking it to the dump complaining about BMW or Ford for building such a crap vehicle.
That said, I do have a sympathy with Herb to the extent that we seem to repeat a certain non productive style of play that never gets stamped on by the coach, or worse, from my point of view, is that he actually might encourage this method of side to side possession.
Sorry for my lack of manners guys, Morning to you all, and happy brekkers to you VCC!! 🙂
I love your bouncy personality, Glicster, you are as disappointed as everyone else, but you don’t let it get you down.
But then, you have your friend in the mirror to wink back at you!! 🙂
Hi Redders
True I disguise it well. The last time i was this disappointed ( apart from the Chav game ) was when Mrs glic booked Abu Hamza ffor the kids party, pass the parcel bomb and musical back packs didn`t go down to well . He finished it off with his shadow puppet show, which contained just one guess what it is ?………..yes that was it…………..?……….a quetion mark !
*question “
Glic, 🙂
TA,
When you get back.
Holt was played onside by Santos. The rest of the defence had moved up a couple of metres, including the Mert, so he had to turn and chase back after Holt, and obviously had no chance.
Mannone had to deal with a difficult dipping shot but a top class keeper would have done it better, I believe, but it was certainly not an easy shot for him.
You are quite right that he should not have been in that position anyway, because the midfield went missing and made no attempt to close Tetty down, and if he had needed to, he could have advanced another 10 metres if he had needed to. Very poor.
Morning all,,
Redders, you have perfectly encapsulated why Mr Wenger has a job for life at Arsenal (should he want it). Let’s not call out the manager and expose his complete lack of tactical nous, let’s blame the under-achieving mentality at Arsenal on all the rich clubs who don’t like losing.
So those promises that were made in 2006 must have been made because the sun was shining that day and everyone was in a great mood.
Very bad yesterday. But having a good night sleep and time to reflect, i realsie that it was still very bad. hahaha.
But its only one day. We will bounce back. I still have belief in the Clubs long term vision and strategy and though it might take a couple of years, we will be chalanging for the league again
I will let you into a little secret. After we won the FA cup in 2005 i feared we might not win anything again for the next ten years. Hope ime wrong on that score. I also thought we might have a couple of years when we occupied mid table. Thats not happened so i hope ime wrong on that too.
Its not easy to say this after yesterdays debacle, but keep the faith. The future for the Club is a great one.
Keep that great belief Stretch and I think Herb needs to be Manilowed ! hahaha
I`m occupying my time by going out now and shifting the wife`s horse crap……..No , I`m not married to the missing Shergar ! hahaha
No GliC,
I just want the club to acquire a back-bone, something they haven’t had for a long time.
This model isn’t working.
Just had a read on ‘AA’, why is it people feel the need to constantly have a go at SAF?
That has to be one of the most monumental f***-ups in Arsenal’s entire existence. Twice the manager Mr Wenger will ever be.
SAF is a dog. A classless piece of scum that will smile to your face and patronise when your down and then stab you in the back when he gets the chance. A corrupt piece of work if i ever saw one..NOT WORTHY TO BE THE GRIME UNDER ARSENES TOE NAIL, END OF HERB..please dont go there mate!
Hi Herb
I`m not knocking your opinion as it is always a decent read. I just dont agree with it all, but some are fair points.
What if we had brought in SAF as a manager is one of those great conundrum`s of Arsenal, along with what would have Arsenal achieved without the outbreak of WW2 ?. Both a conjecture worth a debate/post., which I think you would be great at . 🙂
manners Prince! Afternoon all, and thank you Total and Redders for the posts in recent days, and of course to Glic for all the mirrors provided…it is very shiny in here 🙂
Total, i agree as most do, its unacceptable, but the show must go on and all we can do is learn from our mistakes..So how do you teach desire, hunger, focus? its a question for Arsene and Thomas Vermaelen, our manager got it wrong last night, and TV5 led with no example..We were very slow as Redders rightly pointed out, and we were very blunt at slicing in between there lines..
With injuries taking its toll on our squad, and a loss to a “bottom of the table” our game against Schalke becomes rather vital, with momentum and all that.
Its all rather surreal!
We have become a club full of cowards, scared to compete, and hard-core fans who call it like it is have been priced-out so that the middle-classes can marvel and politely applaud what a fantastic business model we are.
Only it’s not that great is it. No real Goalkeeper worthy of note, not to mention the likes of Squillaci, Santos (is he really a left-back???), Diaby, Rosicky, Arshavin, Chamakh, Walcott, and that’s without mentioning other corkers like Silvestre, Jeffers or Richard Wright.
When Chelsea put in a lack-luster performance, Abramovich is in the dressing-room demanding answers. When we put in the same performance, our owner is miles away on the other side of the pond concerned only about his profit-margin. It is a shockingly depressing state of affairs supporting Arsenal these days, with a Board of Directors and a manager woefully short of any real substance, let alone any footballing conviction.
Hi Prince, again! 🙂
Actually, not that it has anything to do with me, but how about you pushing out the boat and sending TA a Post with the antipodean viewpoint?
You are forthright and incisive and reading your stuff is really interesting and usually to the point, but with just enough to invoke discussions!! 🙂
hahaha Yes , the artist formerly known as……..sorry……now known as Prince, my mirrors are working a treat on here . It`s the only site I have to wear my Ray-Bans on ! hahaha
Herb
It could be worse and lets count our blessing`s. As Abramobitch was very close to buying the Spuds !. Most of us would not be here now if that had happened, a mass suicide slaying at the hands of Terry`s Telescope would have been bad, but not as bad as the Spuds replicating the Chavs success !. hahaha
Cheer up, Herb, 🙂
You know we all usually like to read your down to earth opinions.
The problem today is we are all upset and dealing with that disappointment, following the unexpected defeat, each in our own way.
You have every right to express your own opinion, but when you are being totally negative and disrespectful about a manager, that you know many of us hold in high esteem even with his human ‘failings’,and also rubbish the players and the club, you leave us no option but to either openly disagree with you, which I for one do not want to have to do, or simply to let it go and say nothing in reply, which defeats the point of a blog chat.
Balancing your complaints with even a morsel of optimism, or credit for the club, the manager or the players would make life easier for all of us, including your goodself.
Alternatively, you can simply ignore me! 🙂
Glicster,
You are right. The thought that Abramovich nearly bought the Spuds makes perspiration break out on my brow!! 🙂
By the way Glic, my man, Terry Telescope tells me that you have not yet worked out that the handsome geezer winking back at you from your mirror is actually me. 🙂
He only found out when he saw me sticking my tongue out at you when your back was turned!! 🙂
PPP,
You are aware that SAF was offered the Arsenal job in the summer of 1986, and terms were agreed? Why didn’t he take up the role? Because he was care-taker manager of Scotland and had a World Cup to prepare for, and the Arsenal Board were too impatient to wait.
He’s doing what he’s being paid to do, not as handsomely as Mr Wenger, and he’s delivering, something Mr Wenger hasn’t done for a long time. Hate the club by all means, but that’s a very bitter, personal attack on someone you don’t personally know.
Would you say that to his face?
Hahaha Redders, I`m not that stupid as I was holding another mirror In my hand and looking to see if I looked handsome from behind aswell, but was shocked to see I had eyes in the back of my head and a long Red pony tail !.
Hi Redders,
nothing personal mate, but I hate the product Arsenal have become.
Fans don’t have a say in the running of the club, and just like politicians, they get a lot of big decisions wrong.
If Alex Ferguson had become Arsenal manager, not only would Arsenal have been the first London club to win the European Cup, we would currently be one of the biggest clubs in the world, and feared world-wide. Do any of the world’s footballing giants currently fear Arsenal?
We have no reference to properly gauge Mr Wenger, but for me, he hasn’t been good enough since the retirement of Dennis Bergkamp.
Dear Herb, Yes i am aware and i am so glad he didnt get the post and he is not representing us today. He has no class, he is corrupt and seems to have a long list on his pay role. I loathe him and all the others connected.. People like yourself, talking him up and bigging him up is the reason why so many foreigners and kids go to the dark side and support Manu Scum..
Dont you get that!
Dont you also get that (being a foreign gooner) Wenger is a huge reason why Arsenal is loved and supported globally. His style of play, when it works is the most exciting football being played on this earth. His attitude and how he represents our club is top class..Arsenal was always a big club, but Wenger made us the talk of the town. Only ManU, Barca, AC Milan, and Real get talked about as much as Arsenal worldwide.. So thank your lucky stars we have Wenger and that every year we are on the world stage. In 2014, 15, 16 when commercial deals favour us, thats when Arsene will say ” Herb, i told you so”..
Dont get me wrong Herb, yesterday it was Wengers fault. We lacked desire and on that front, the buck stops with him!
Ps, would i say it to his face (SAF)…..Ahhh Yes, i would say it in Fergie time so he got the message haha. Who is he to me Herb, he doesnt pay my rent and he sure as hell doesnt like my Arsenal…Its time we grew some….on the pitch and in the stands.
hahaha, Redders, do you think Cornwall is slowly turning into Snow White, or is it Cinderela? ime worried his combined obsessions with mirrors and Arsenal will see both him and the mirror crack.
Mirror mirror on the wall, who is he fairest of them all?…Cornwall, you are full fair it is true, but Arsene wenger is fairer than you.
looking in the mirror and constantly seeing Arsenes face must be hard. Hope it dosnt happen to Herb. hahaha.
Stretch
I`d be well pleased if I looked in the mirror and see Snow White and the Seven Inches ! , so would Mrs glic. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
😀
And there it is, the modern Arsenal fan, prepared to accept a nice loser over a ruthless winner. That’s what we’ve become on and off the park. Pretty tippy-tappy side to side football that lacks urgency, penetration or any will to win, and as long as people such as yourself are happy with that, that’s what we’ll be. The talk of the town is that Arsenal lack the bottle to get the job done, whilst those other clubs you mention actually appease their fans with real trophies instead of boasting about how financially astute they are.
Redders
I`ve just had a look on Wiki and by all accounts we should praise the Lord Dennis !. For not only did Abramobitch nearly buy the Spuds, but the Spuds offered SAF the job aswell !.Just imagine what could have been………….Herb being giving electric shock treatment in the Le Grove Lunatic assylum after reading about Lord Ferguson`s 3rd CL trophy on the trot with the Spuds !. hahaha
GLiC, have you ever watched Ali G in da house?
Your seven inches reminds me of an episode when Ali G goes upstairs to meet God and he begs for one more inch. She turned to him and said “Ali, i think 14 inches is enough, innit” 😆
Sorry Herb
Couldn`t resist that one !. 🙂
Hahaha Prince, Love Ali G stuff !.
Cool. Hey, can i have a special request for my mate Herb.( i dont know how to do the cut and paste stuff with you tube and clips). its called “Arsenal fun day out” on youtube it goes for 1:34… Please, i laugh everytime i see it! 🙂
We probably all need to chillax guys, falling out among ourselves about Fergiesnozz is just not cool.
We can have our own opinions about his money fuelled success over the years, but as an individual he is the chalk to Arsene’s cheese – the total opposite in other words.
Educated, cosmopolitan, well mannered, intelligent — which one fits that description? He is the one for me!! 🙂
Football-wise, Fergie has been extremely successful. No argument!
As an individual – let’s not go there.
Remember, we are Gooners – not neutrals!
Support our club – support our team – support our manager, otherwise what’s the point? 🙂
This one Prince ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=F7PLMV3pWYI
Glic, you are a scream!! 🙂
With his new wood teeth I suspect TerryM is the fairest of them all, but I don’t want any squabbling, so you can be the fairiest of them all!!! 🙂
Still trying to figure out how to designate our man the Prince!! Prince Charming? 🙂
Thats the one. Cheers. I know some might take offence to that clip but i say “get a sense of humour”…its a scream 😀
I think my own personal enjoyment of supporting Arsenal would have been so much more fulfilling and rewarding had the Arsenal BoD made the right choice back in 1986.
I support a football club, not a business model. None of us know what Ferguson is like behind the scenes, we only get to see his public persona when he is representing MU.
We are all universal in our loathing of MU as a club, but launching personal attacks because he’s a proven winner is a bit childish.
Im still trying to figure out what ‘antipodean’ means or in which way it was meant?
Charming? Yes, amongst other things…. oh dear, ive got the glic disease..
Does anybody think that Glic is related to Nic Bendtner? 😆
Sorry, Prince, I sometimes use words that don’t always mean much if guys haven’t come across them.
Antipodean means: “often used to refer to Australia and New Zealand, and “Antipodeans” to their inhabitants.” 🙂
Prince Charming might say “does my butt look big in this?” 🙂
Glic might say, “Not in my mirror”! 🙂
Nah, dont change your style, please. Its good for me and my English skills. When you work on a building site for so long, your vocabulary boils down to “show us your t*ts!”… Actually Glic and his telescopic friend would fit right in. 😆
Hi guys,
Just a quickie as I am at my PILs. I had a quick scan through the comments and there has been so good debate, all done in the right spirit! 🙂
Please continue to keep it cordial and try to accept that a different way of looking at things is the way the world works. Cannot wait to join in later today. :)f
Just as a point of reference Redders, (if you’re still about), which under-performing players do you think I criticised unfairly? Diaby? Is he off the treatment table raring to go after six years? Same question applies for Rosicky? Was it the £15m Arshavin, for the three or four good games he’s given us? Or the quality signings of Walcott and Andre Santos, who at £7m looks over-priced by about £5m?
Stop blaming the manager Herb and consider the obstacles in front of him.
If you had a Brick wall in front of you that you knew would eventuly erode with time, would you waste effort beating it with a spoon and then blame the spoon for lack of progress?
Hi Terry,
we have a manager tactically out of his depth.
Warning adult language if it works !
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=F7PLMV3pWYI
No wrong one 😦
Try again
http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/13824650/totals-mission
Glic 😆
That was more than OH-Kaye and i didnt realise that that was how you pronounced ‘telescoWpe’.. FUNNIEST VIDEO EVER, even as a trial run…EVER
Total killed the in laws.. im still in hysterics..
Love your work Glicster
You could have sent that ugly **** VCC.. 😆
How much were you offering him, mr mirror man?
Cornwall, hahahaha, brilliant. how the hell do you do it? I cant even do a smiley.
Do us a favour. On you tube there is a video with some bloke explaning stretch techniques that promise excellent results.Forget yesterdays result, this is much more important and could be the answer we are all looking for. hahahaha
Glic, you never cease to amaze me!! BUT where are the Vids I can just click on? 🙂
Herb,
Sorry I had to attend to something.
I did not say you criticised any player. I was simply making a general point to everyone really, but if you are not happy about that I am sorry. I have nothing more I can add.
Hi guys
It`s still not how I thought it would turn out, I need to get Mrs glics friend around to show me how to transfer it from that site to youtube and give it a more polished look. When I was making it, I just had my character dressed in a rubber suit ! hahaha, but it made him look little in the final product. There is so many permutations and it is probably more suited to the genius of chas, but I shall keep plugging away.
Redders
you tube has a lot of these cartoon vids, the ones I previously posted are what I`m trying to achieve.
Stretch
I will let you in on the secret`s at the QPR game, as I`m crap at trying to explain on here !
Now to look for this other stretch guy ! hahaha
Cornwall, its on youtube “penis stretching tecniques”. hahahaha
You two naughty boys will be for it when TA gets back!!! 🙂
Unfortunately, I have to say nitey nite all!! 🙂
Tomorrow guys!
No problem Redders.
It seems people will bury their head and continually accept mediocrity as acceptable rather than challenge it head-on.
I think GiE over on ‘AA’ said Chris Hughton set up Norwich exactly the same way as he had Newcastle two years ago, when they came to The Emirates and won 1-0. What does it say that Hughton can out-wit our manager? We all know about the six years of Drogba, and a few humiliating thrashings from MU (6-1, 4-0, 8-2). Have we ever done the same to them under Mr Wenger? No, and we’ve never looked capable of doing so.
At what point in time does the penny drop and the people who matter admit something is fundamentally wrong? I’m sure we’d all feel a lot better if this were a one-off freak result against ‘lesser’, but it is an annoying habit that happens over and over again.
But once again we look everywhere and anywhere to avoid putting the blame where it lays.
Let’s blame the weather, the pitch, the opposition, playing with the hand-brake on anything, but woe betide anyone who dares to suggest the manager may actually be at fault.

VCC really good to hear you managed to get a couple of tickets and I hope you watch a cracking match: 6-5 to the mighty Arsenal! 😆
Hi Herb 🙂
I fully respect your respect for Fergie but I am convinced we got the lucky draw with Arsene. If Arsene had been at MU for the last 16 years, they would have won easily as much as they did under Fergie, but they would also have done it in style. Luckily, Arsene was recruited by us. I know you will not agree with me on this one, but for me the only reason Ferguson has been more successful until now is the fact that he managed the richest PL club under very stable circumstances for a long time. Arsene remained loyal to us and we should remain loyal to him in my view.
