Arsenal’s New Season in a Haiku

Nothing wrong with verbosity but, as it’s hot and humid, let’s try to be champions of brevity today.

I encourage you to sum up how you feel about Arsenal’s up and coming PL season in a Haiku (see link).

  • I don’t think I got the number of “morae”right, and a “kigo” is conspicuous by its absence.
The haiku police has caught up with me, but was lenient enough to give me a second chance:

    Spring night, Budapest
The cup is ours, at long last
    Pete’s missus hates us

  • Red tides rising fast,
    Etihad shadows still loom,
    North bank holds its breath.

  • I do anticipate an “angry Pep” backlash this season. Or, anyone think Pep is done winning things?
If the get Rodrygo, their forward three will be formidable with Marmoush, Haaland and Rodrygo; with Rodri back and firing, who knows….

  • That’s a beauty, Eris. You have entered an interesting perspective, with the focus on a force/danger to overcome.

And I agree that City might be our biggest rivals once more.
