I don’t think I got the number of “morae”right, and a “kigo” is conspicuous by its absence.
The haiku police has caught up with me, but was lenient enough to give me a second chance:

Pete’s missus hates us
Thirty eight battles
’til war and wait are over
Long winter banished
Great haikus, guys, and a seasonal reference as well!
Red tides rising fast,
Etihad shadows still loom,
North bank holds its breath.
I do anticipate an “angry Pep” backlash this season. Or, anyone think Pep is done winning things?
If the get Rodrygo, their forward three will be formidable with Marmoush, Haaland and Rodrygo; with Rodri back and firing, who knows….
That’s a beauty, Eris. You have entered an interesting perspective, with the focus on a force/danger to overcome.
