Here is a bit of fun for you. A quarter of a century in the new millenium has passed and Arsenal have been great with many successes to boast about.
I was wondering what my team of the first part of the century would be and how I would choose my best possible 11. For me this should be a set of players with the following qualities:
- Great human beings
- Exceptionally technically talented
- Football intelligence
- Fit with the club’s values
- Ability to thrive in this day and age (assuming that they never passed the age of 30)
- Together they need to form an unbeatable 11 through ability, leadership skills, mixed skills set
- Absolute attitude to win
- Truly love(d) to play for Arsenal
So this is my best 11 over the last 25 years:

What’s yours? Could you beat my team with yours?

Brought forward from last thread…..
Interestingly, Arsenal’s fixtures against Palace (Cup), Brighton and Villa all coincided with Nigeria’s group stage fixtures against Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda. Both teams won all 3 fixtures.
Long may the charm continue
Ooooh! That’s a tasty post right there.
I like your line up; only wish one could fit in Saliba, Alex is Sanchez and Santi Carzola in there, somehow.
A sub list, perhaps? Would you accept Robin van Persie in that group, on values?
Long indeed, Eris, continuing tonight!
Saliba, Sanchez and Santi are great considerations. All excellent players.
William needs to develop his passing game and i would like him to be more dominant during set pieces. On bench, though.
Alex seemed too mercenary to me. Great attacker, though.
Santi, just like Ozil and Fabregas came close, but for me something was missing to be in my top 11.
